Abstract: | Diamond drillhole NB17DD049 was drilled over October 21 - 29, 2017 by MMG Ltd as part of Round 10 of the Northern Territory Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations Program. The rationale for the drillhole was to venture east of the Emu Fault and test an odd geophysical feature of a small magnetic low within a semi-circular magnetic high adjacent to the Emu Fault, coincident with a subtle ground gravity high. The hole intersected Barney-Lynott Cycle sediments at an unexpectedly shallow depth given the hole was supposedly collared in Stretton Sandstone of the Upper McArthur Group and has added to the limited data and understanding of geology east of the Emu Fault. |
