EL 22307 McArthur River Region NT annual report on exploration activities year six of tenure 6 August 2007 to 5 August 2008

Abstract

Heavy mineral analysis of 10 samples collected during Year 5 became available during the reporting year and a further 6 samples were collected. The results from this program were poor with most samples failing to recover chromite. One sample did recover chromite, however the chemistry of these grains tend to indicate that they are derived from a crustal source, probably a mafic lava or intrusives, and not kimberlite.
