Abstract: ML 24031 hosts the Bootu Creek Manganese Project which is owned by OM (Manganese) Ltd. (OMM). The mine comprises four pits of various maturity and morphology and is mined with contract mining equipment and labour. The project is located approximately 130km north of Tennant Creek. Exploration within ML 24031 during the reporting period was primarily dedicated to near-mine exploration and resource definition using reverse circulation (RC) drilling methods. Two new resources were discovered and delineated during 2008 and work was also conducted with an aim to extending existing reported resources both down dip and along strike. Three RC rigs were engaged during the reporting period to complete 916 holes for a total of 64,817 metres. A small diamond drilling program was conducted with the recovered core being used for metallurgical test-work. Twenty holes were drilled for a cumulative total of 763 metres. An airborne geophysical (aeromagnetic and radiometric) survey was commissioned and mobilized at the end of the reporting period however no data capture had occurred.
