Title: | Annual report for EL 25258 |
Title Holder / Company: | Corporate Developments Outback Metals |
Report id: | CR2010-0466 |

Year: | 2010 |
Author: | Chrisp G |
Abstract: | Outback Metals Ltd is investigating gold occurences in the Wingate Mountains (the 'Wingate Gold Field') with the aim of defining sufficient resources to establish a commercial mining operation. Work has predominantly been carried out on EL 10140, where several phases of aerial surveys and soil and rock chip sampling programmes have been carried out, supplementing the prevoius exploration work predominantly by Carpentaria Gold. Carpentaria Gold carried out extensive exploration but withdrew from the area when the Toms Gully deposit was discovered. Outback considers the above EL may have potential to contain additional gold resources that would supplement resources on EL 10140, but Outback's primary objectives is to prove up gold resources on EL 10140 (and adjoining EL 25258) as quickly as possible. This report has been prepared based on the knowledge of the author, but unfortunately without input from Mr Bill Fraser, Outback's Chief Geologist (who is still in a coma in Cairns Hospital following emergency open heart surgery) or Mr James McIlwraith, Outback's Senior Geologist, who is currently in Africa. Also, the reporting period is one during which I was not an officer of the company; expenditure was previously reported on a project by project basis rather than an individual tenement basis. Work that Bill Fraser, James McIlwraith and I have been involved in on the above tenements since April 2010 has in part followed on from previous work done by others in the reporting period, which included; Compilation of stream sediment sample results and plotting; Acquisition and compilation of the Tempest data from Geoscience Australia, extraction of relevant data sets and incorporation into pdf files for the Wingates tenements, including overlaying flight lines on tenement maps; Literature research, including acquisition of previous exploration data; Site visits, administration and reporting. Outback is pushing ahead strongly with exploration of the Wingates Gold Project; while most of this effort will take place an EL 10140, we expect to carry out mapping and sampling of any target areas on the above tenements during the current year. |
