Abstract: EL 25567 butts up to the SA border centrally located between the Mann Fault to the south and the Woodroffe Thrust Fault to the north a regionally extensive zone of thrusting of granulite facies rocks to their current cropping out position during the 560-535Ma Petermann Orogeny. 95% of the licence area is flat lying sandplain cropping out rocks are scarce however, the arcuate Woodroffe Thrust marking the transition of granulite to amphibolite metamorphic facies Musgravian gneiss trends across the south west corner of EL 25567 allowing for possible 1078Ma Giles Complex magmatic nickel sulphide- bearing ultramafic bodies to be thrusted into near surface positions along the interpreted thrust fault front? Available NTGS AMAG/Radiometric, Landsat, DTM digital data was acquired imaged processed, modelled and interpreted in search of possible Giles Ultramafic geophysical expression analogues. Unfortunately no prospective Giles Complex geophysical footprints were delineated consequently EL 25567 was surrendered.
