Abstract: The Charley Creek Project (EL 24281) tenement is located 100 km west north west of Alice Springs along the Tanami Road and centred about 8 km south-west of Milton Park Homestead. The project area is held by Crossland Nickel Pty Ltd and is considered prospective for copper, nickel, platinum and uranium. Initial work in Charley Creek (EL 24281) by consisted of: A literature search of previous exploration over the EL and surrounding areas; Data compilation; Acquisition and interpretation of NTGS geological and airborne geophysical data sets and; A search of the sacred sites register. Work completed during the 2006-2007 reporting period included: Field reconnaissance during June 2006; Helicopter reconnaissance over the tenement and assessment for uranium and nickel prospectivity during August 2006; Additional data compilation and literature search; Planning and budgeting for next phase of exploration and; Negotiation of an Access Agreement with the Central Land Council for ongoing exploration of the this and neighbouring lease. As part of the ongoing programme a detailed airborne magnetic and radiometric survey is proposed along with a geochemical sampling programme. A sacred site certificate has been commissioned from the AAPA to facilitate any follow-up work resulting from the airborne survey.
