Abstract: Acacia Minerals Pty. Limited has successfully carried out the Year 3 planned exploration program on EL 25027. Rock and soil samples were collected and a systematic ground radiometric survey was completed over most of the tenement. Encouraging results have been obtained for uranium and base metals. After Acacia Minerals had obtained EL 25027 staff visited on site and examined various outcrops known by the previous owner. In addition the costean sunk by the BMR in the 1960's in the vicinity of the Frazer Prospect radiometric anomaly was sampled. The single sample (163070) was analysed for an entire metal scan including RE's and gold. A GPS coordinate fix was not recorded but the Frazer Prospect with its single nearby costean is shown on maps. Two phases of auger sampling were completed. Phase 1 consisted of a single east west orientation line across the Frazer airborne radiometric anomaly on the 15/9/08 consisting of 29 samples (110802 -110830). Phase 2 consisted of lines around the boundary of the tenement which corresponded to the boundary fence of the freehold land. Other east west lines across the tenement avoiding the house paddock were done. This was done during the period 13-19/11/08. Phase 2 totalled 177 samples sites (110831-111107). Samples were taken using a tractor mounted auger from a maximum depth of 1 metre. The tractor auger was hired from a nearby freehold land owner. Each site produced one sample sieved to -2mm and one course fraction, each weighing approximately 200 grams and each given the same sample number. The auger hole was backfilled immediately after sampling, that is, within 5 minutes of having been dug. The fine fraction was sent to a laboratory in Darwin for assay. The course fraction retained for geological examination after assays were received and for possible additional assaying.
