Abstract: | The Bridge Creek North tenement group are a series of tenements aligned NS along the Howley Anticline. The tenements are along strike from the Bridge Creek prospect to the south, and are 35 km SE of Adelaide River township. Exploration carried out by Territory Goldfields NL during the 1990's shows the tenement group host gold occurrences that were considered sub-economic at the time. The most prospecitive is the Ios prospect, with a reported resource of 723,438t @ 1.29g/t Au for approximately 30,000oz Au (Farrelly 1995, in Socic, 1996), however this prospect is encumbered by the Darwin - Adelaide railway line cutting through the southern portion. Work done in the past year was limited to data review and loading data into DataShed. Work in the next year will include some resource drilling at Ios prospect to confirm and test for extensions to mineralisation. |
