Drillhole/Well Name: | Y337RD |
Abstract: | Y337RD is situated on the historic tenement EL 1199 Yungarra in the Ngalia Basin. It was drilled by AGIP Australia PL in 1981 during exploration for sandstone hosted uranium deposits, targeting the Mount Eclipse Sandstone. The hole was viewed and analysed using an InnovX Omega Handheld XRF and thin section samples were taken to help understand the regional geology and oxidation state. Five distinct units were identified and tested including red (hematite rich) arkose, grey(pyrite rich) arkose, white arkose, red (hematite rich) mudstone and green - grey mudstone. |
