Abstract: The 1963 Anacoora Bore Gravity Survey was carried out by Geosurveys of Australia Pty Ltd on behalf of Beach Petroleum within OP57. The survey area is located 60miles east of Finke and lies approximately 130miles south east of Alice Springs within the Northern Territory. The gravity survey was able to observe 675 gravity stations using optical levelling methods and photomap location. The main purpose of this survey was to outline in detail the gravitational feature of a line anticlinal structures located as result of the Simpson Desert (Hale River) gravity survey of 1962.
Gravity detail of the principal structures have been satisfactorily demonstrated. New traverses confirmed extensive proportions of the major subcircular gravity minima in the extreme northeast
