Abstract: The 1967 Tanami Barrow Creek Aeromagnetic Survey was carried out by Adastra Hunting Geophysics Pty Ltd on behalf of American Overseas Petroleum within OP118, OP119, OP120, OP123, OP136, OP152 and OP153 in the Wiso and Georgina Basins. 177 flight lines were flown as part of the survey within an area of approximately 25,000 square miles. The purpose of the survey was to determine the depths, trends of major structural features, such as faults and magnetic intrusions, and the location of any boundaries.
The results of the interpretations indicate that further ground surveys should be carried out particularly in areas where the basins occur. Careful attention should be paid to the origin of shallow anomalies in all areas.
