Abstract: | The basement surface is the Proterozoic-Palaeozoic unconformity. It is generally shallow and gently undulating. The deepest basin (1500 to 2300 feet below sea level) is located just north of an east west ridge. The aeromagnetic survey was carried out in order to gain information on the depth to basement, configuration and grain of basement, trends of major structural features including faults, magnetic intrusives and basin edges. |
