Abstract: Australian Aquitaine Petroleum Pty Ltd had contracted Compagne Generale De Geophysique to carry out a seismic and gravity survey on OP162. The Lone Hill Seismic and Gravity Survey included two working areas:
The Keep River Area where the investigation was done using seismic refraction and gravity methods. 21 refraction spreads were recorded in this area.
The Kushill Area where the seismic reflection method was used on two Prospects called Providence Hill and Tree Point. 6 new seismic lines of three-fold CDP spreads were recorded with a distance of 50.4km.
The survey has delineated the Ningbing Sandstone to the south of Keep River No. 1 Well as well as the addition if new information regarding the attitude of the Milligan Beds. A high velocity refractor probably related to the economic basement. Providence Hill Structure and Tree Point Prospect have been further delineated.
