Abstract: | The 1961 Port Keats Marine Seismic Survey was carried out by Seismiograph Services Ltd for Mines Administration Pty Ltd within OP2. The survey acquired 7 lines of seismic data with a total distance of 297.9km. The survey was designed to determine the thickness and structural configuration of the Palaeozoic of the Port Keats Sub-Basin and in particular Devonian and Cambrian rocks of the Keep River area. The sedimentary section is shown to increase in thickness seawards, to the west. A major anticlinal structure near the intersection of lines 2 and 3 which may well show considerable closure. |
