Abstract: | The BNT81 Seismic Survey was carried out by Horizon Exploration Ltd on behalf of Australian Aquitaine Petroleum Pty Ltd within OP186 as the main operator of this permit. The survey acquired 13 new seismic lines all with 24 fold coverage with a total distance of 123.6km. The acquired seismic data was then sent to Digicon International for further processing. 24-fold, stacked seismic sections were the output employing correlation, deconvolution, time-variant filtering and migration for some of the lines. These processed seismic lines were then interpreted by the geophysical staff at Australian Aquitaine Petroleum and despite all the attempts made during acquisition and processing, the data quality remained poor. A slight improvement was noticed, in the zones where the seismic markers showed some continuity on the previous data. |
