| Abstract: | The 1979 Simpson Desert Seismic Survey was carried out by Austral Geophysical Pty Ltd on behalf of Beach Petroleum NL in OP177 and OP184. The survey area was located around 535km north northwest of Alice Springs, in the middle of the Simpson Desert. Geoflex was used as the energy source and 27 new seismic lines with a total distance of 538.4km were shot. The seismic data after initial field processing was sent to Digicon in their Singapore office for further processing. |
