Abstract: | Exploration activity conducted during the reporting period comprised: Routine radiologic monitoring of the onsite infrastructure, including the fenced compound and drill sample stored in drums; Backfilling of an open sample disposal pit within the fenced compound; Follow up monitoring of vegetation re-growth on previously backfilled pits and; Retrieval of nine 1 kg metallurgic samples from the drum storage to characterise the uranium ore with a view to assessing possible upgrading options. Three auger drill holes at three different levels were sampled. This work was conducted by CSIRO Perth, under the supervision of Marenica Energy Ltd (Marenica). This scoping trial is intended to evaluate the potential for mechanically enhancing the uranium grade prior to extractive treatment. Full results are still pending. A positive result would justify a broad resampling of the resource. |
