Title: | Annual exploration report EL 23543 Burnside year ending 23 March 2004 |
Title Holder / Company: | Burnside Operations |
Report id: | CR2004-0207 |
Tenure: | EL23543 |
Year: | 2004 |
Author: | Shaw, J |
Abstract: | The EL forms part of the Burnside Joint Venture and during the reporting a technical review of the area was undertaken. Gold tends to occur in the anticlinal axial zones and appears to be associated with quartz sulfide veins, confined to the zones of dilation and long-lived brittle-ductile zones of failure. Sulfides are pyrite, arsenopyrite and rare chalcopyrite and arsenopyrite. The review has ranked EL 23543 a low to medium in the short term although it has modest exploration potential. |
