Abstract: Exploration Licence 9574 Hamish is located approximately 42 km northwest of Tennant Creek town and 5 km southeast of the Warrego Mine Site. Access to the Licence can be gained from station tracks leading off the sealed Warrego Road. This report records the exploration work completed on EL 9574 during its eighth year of tenure, from the 23rd October 2003 to the 22nd October 2004. Targets are Tennant Creek-style magnetite ironstone associated gold and copper ore bodies, and also shallow haematite-ironstone related gold deposits. Since the purchase of the EL in June 2001, Giants Reef has not had sufficient time to do other than make a brief assessment of the potential of EL 9574. It is clear that the EL is situated in an area of favourable structural compexity midway between the Warrego and White Devil mines. At least two magnetic targets have been identified for future drilling. Vacuum anomalies identified from the GIS database requires follow up review and targeting in the next tenure year. Due to Giants Reefs exploration commitments within the last tenure year being focussed on the gravity survey tenure, no follow up analysis or on-ground exploration was conducted over EL 9574.
