Annual report for ML 22934 Groundrush for the year 13 September 2004

Abstract

The Groundrush gold mine is located on ML 22934 where exploration began in 1998 and mineralisation was discovered in the same year. During the current reporting period, 1468278 tonnes of ore was mined at a grade of 4.9 g/t gold. Mining in the pit is due to be completed by September 2004. Milling of the stockpiled ore will continue untill mid 2005.Up to september 2004, milling has produced 494709 ounces from 3714697 tonnes at a grade of 4.14 g/t gold. Exploration drilling focussed on locating more near surface oxide mineralisation to supplement the Tanami mill. Follow up of RC drilling was undertaken of the known mineralised areas. A short program of RC drilling was also undertaken from within the active pit to ascertain the continuity of the ore shoots below the planned final pit floor. RAB drilling was utilised to cover areas of low drill density and to test various geological models. Geological activites included structural mapping of the Groundrush pit and a study of dolerite host rock geochemistry across the lease.
