Abstract: | Results of rock chip samples collected from outcrops of the weathered basalt along contact zone between Montejinni Limestone and Kalkarindji basalt show that copper content is relatively low. This could be from the weathering process. More sample, including fresh rock underneath limestone, should be collected to investigate the copper content in the contact zone. Preliminary and limited extend soil geochemistry survey results indicate that copper enrichment process occurred in the contact zone between Montejinni Limestone and Kalkarindji basalt. Copper content is lower in the samples collected away from the contact. |
