Title Holder / Company: Red Metal
Report id: CR2016-0443

Year: 2016
Author: McKay, G
Abstract: EL 24259 was acquired to investigate aeromagnetic anomalies south-east of Tennant Creek within the Palaeoproterozoic basement rocks. The area is considered prospective for copper, gold and base metal mineralisation associated with Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) mineralising systems within the Proterozoic Warrumunga Formation. The work carried out on EL 24259 during the twelve months consisted of an airborne magnetic survey over a selected area, an indigenous heritage survey and a program of soil geochemical sampling over a selected aeromagnetic anomaly. Geochemical assay results were disappointing and the company decided to surrender the licence to focus exploration on other tenements.
