Abstract: EL 28552 Gough Dam comprising 36 graticular blocks is located between the Cadney Fault Zone (north) and the Mt Johnstone Fault Zone (south), two south east-trending, mantle-tapping structures traversing across the eastern Arunta Inlier. The licence area is dominated by Ongeva Granulite of lower Cadney Metamorphics assigned to the 1810 - 1790Ma Strangways Metamorphic Complex. The Ongeva Granulite is overprinted by late stage potassic alteration which may potentially represent a pathfinder to significant Cu-Au mineralisation within the licence area. A detailed review and compilation of historical exploration data is in progress as part of a broader province wide IOCG exploration program. Planning is underway for the completion of surface geochemical sampling programs, infill and the extension of existing sample grids, and the acquisition of regional geophysical data.
