Abstract: | Work done during the first year of EL 10203 consisted of extensive literature research, groundwater sampling and analysis, rock chip sampling, geophysical assessment, petrography, and the successful obtaining of approval from the CLC for a drilling program in Year 2. The groundwater sampling of White Hill Bore confirmed that the water in this bore is carrying highly anomalous levels of gold, as was first noted by the CSIRO in 1988. The assessment of the available gravity and aeromagnetic data did not identify any drill targets. The exploration problem presented by the single point hydrogeochemical gold anomaly gives no hint as to how far away from the bore, or in what direction, any concentrations of gold might be found. |
