Abstract: | Since 2009 when USI was granted EL 27304, a significant amount of work has been undertaken on the tenement. The work included; mapping, rock sampling, ground IP survey and drilling. Based on the results of all work, it is likely that the manganese in the region is supergene in nature. The replacement of original sedimentary structures makes for confusing and conflicting results but based on the drill program a supergene mineralisation model is the most likely model. Based on a supergene manganese model, the remote nature of the tenement, and the projected manganese price in the next few years, the tenement is not considered prospective for manganese mining. |
