Abstract: During the 2000-2001 year of tenure the Western Arm data was compiled, validated, and verified in preparation for resource estimations. The verification process involved checking all data against the original records, including correction of some assay errors and a 4 degree correction in down hole survey azimuth from magnetic to grid angles. All quality control data was collected from the available records for statistical analysis. This provided an indication of accuracy and precision of the gold assay data and aided in the categorisation of the resource. The geological interpretation was digitally captured (wireframed) in Gemcom then block modelled using GS3 in an attempt to eliminate the problem of allocating high-grade inferred block on the periphery of the model. The interpretation indicated that the mineralisation is conformable with a series of folded interbedded psammites (meta-greywacke) and pelitic rocks. The last phase of work included a resource summary by section and flitch. Results of this work show clearly the distribution of contained metal (Oz, Au) and the position of distinctly higher grade core zones within the deposit. This data will be used to summarise the higher grade potential of the deposit for future exploration and resource evaluation at varying gold prices.
