Abstract: | All mining undertaken by Normandy NFM Ltd is currently confined to MLS 154, with production for the year to December 2000 yielding 347,170 ounces of gold from the milling facility at The Granites. Ore milled during the year came from mining of the Callie underground resource, the Triumph Hill, Colliwobble, Villa pits and from stockpiled Callie low grade pit material. Exploration continues to increase the gold resources at the Dead Bullock Soak lease. The greater part of this additional mineralisation is contained in the down plunge extension of the Wilson Shoot at the Callie deposit, where high grade drill intersections show continuity of mineralisation. During the year exploration at Dead Bullock Soak has focused on the deep surface drilling program aimed at extending the Callie resource down plunge and including Kerril South mineralisation. Exploration targets West of Soolin and Jupiter 2 were tested for continuity of the Callie orebody to the west. |
