Abstract: EL 28546 'Star Creek' lies 110 km east-north-east of Alice Springs between the Amarata Range and Hale River. The tenement has had little historical exploration. There are no known resources present on EL 28546. Target commodities included rare earth minerals, gold, copper, molybdenum and silver. Year 1 work comprised a number of activities included flying airborne magnetic and radiometrics over some of EL 28546, clearing old tracks, geophysical reprocessing, ground scintillometer surveys, soil and rock chip sampling and a literature review. No significant rock chips or assays were taken. A number of interesting, but low order rock chip anomalies were discovered within some small quartz veins however, and will be followed up in year 2. The geophysical survey highlighted some intense magnetic anomalies and new structural interpretations that were not previously considered. Again, these will be followed up in year 2. Reprocessed magnetic-thorium data highlighted a number of previously reported anomalous thorium prospects on the eastern side of the tenement. These were visited in the field, and found to have only minor thorium-REE, the anomalies appeared to be enhanced by topographic effects.
