Final report for SEL 8432 Windhoek for the period 24 December 1993 to 9 December 1999

Abstract

This report summarises exploration activities during the licence life. The work includes soil sampling, aerial magnetic and radiometric surveys, vacuum drilling, RC and NQ diamond tail drilling. Significant gold/arsenic anomalism and mineralisation have been discovered within the bounds of SEL 8432. 9 km zone covering gold mineralisation (C1-C5 anomalies) has been outlined with possible extensions along strike. The best intersections were 6m at 3.48 g-t Au (C1 anomaly), 15m at 1.21 g/t Au (C4 anomaly), 6m at 25 g-t Au (C5 anomaly) 3m at 2.34 g/t Au (Tip Toe anomaly) and 6m at 1.8 g-t Au (NW Patrick anomaly). Lack of the land access has effectively stopped exploration efforts since mid-1994. A new tenement has recently been granted in order to retain tenure over this highly prospective area.
