Abstract: The report summarises exploration work carried out on the Tanami Project exploration licences for the 1999 field season. Positive exploration results were returned from East Ptilotus (EL 2369), where from numerous encouraging gold intersections were received RAB drilling with the best intersection 40 m at 1.1 g-t. At Tornado (EL 1060) RAB drilling was conducted to test the source of a surface geochemical anomaly with best gold intersection 46 m at 0.4 g-t. At Titania (EL 2370) deep diamond drilling beneath the North Lode at Oberon showed that high grade mineralisation is present at depth. Best gold intersection include 11.5 m at 2.5 g-t from 109.5 m and 29 m at 4.18 g-t from 164.5 m. Further RC drilling of the North Lode supergene zone extended the mineralisation by 50 m along the strike to the east. Diamond and RC drilling of the southern end of the South Lode failed to identify significant mineralisation. At Oberon South RC drilling of RAB anomalies returned best results12 m at 1.24 g/t from 75 m. Diamond and RC drilling at Oberon East revealed a strike extension to the previously identified mineralisation. Assay intersections include 5 m at 2.77 g-t from 43 m and 12 m at 1.03 g-t from 52 m. Regional regolith RAB drilling aimed to investigate the nature of the regolith cover to the west of Titania. At Buccaneer Prospect in the Twin Bonanza Project (EL 6859) RC drilling program tested for significant strike continuity of the previously defined mineralisation. The program limited the potential for the expansion of the defined mineralisation to an economic scale. Best results were 6 m at 4.0 g-t Au from 137 m. Other work in Twin Bonanza downgraded the potential for significant mineralisation in the area.
