Title: Final report EL 9211 Abner Range - East 25 August 1995 to 10 September 1999

Abstract: This report provides details of the work undertaken on EL 9211 during the life of the licence prior to its incorporation in SEL 9779. Exploration was focused on follow-up of various GEOTEM and geomorphic anomalies. This work included various geochemical sampling, ground EM-34 surveys and loam sampling. Several targets were drilled. Results were disappointing as no kimberlite material was intersected. Kimberlite indicator minerals were recovered from the upper part of one hole drilled into a geomorphic anomaly. The orientation of the anomaly suggests that the indicators are sources from north northeast trending dyke rather than a kimberlite pipe. Work on the extent of Cretaceous sedimentary cover that may be masking indicator mineral distribution is going to be carried out on SEL 9779.
