Abstract: | USI NT (USI) hold EL 28977; one of five ELs collectively referred to as the Amadeus project area. In July 2015 EL 28977 was completely relinquished. The relinquished tenement is located southwest of Alice Springs. Several field investigations have been undertaken on the relinquished blocks of EL 28977 but unfortunately no primary manganese mineralisation or significant secondary mineralisation was identified. Several field trips have been made to the relinquished blocks over the period USI held the tenement and 9 samples were collected in total. Several samples returned elevated manganese values but none of the mineralisation appeared to be primary mineralisation or significant enough to warrant further exploration. The remoteness of the tenement was also taken into consideration when relinquishing the tenement. Further work is recommended to explore for other commodities other than manganese. |
