Title Holder / Company: Barfuss Corporation
Report id: CR1999-0382
Tenure: EL9434
Year: 1999
Abstract: Work completed during the last year included feasibility study of garnet and vermiculite mining in the Harts Range. Garnets are extensively distributed in the Entire Valley. The distribution of garnet sands occurs in commercial deposits and further work should define the high grade deposits. Trial runs of garnet sands in the pilot plant have been conducted to improve the quality and particle size recovery. The aerial inspection of the vermiculite anomalies was carried out to determine details of the future work and plans. Further drilling and sampling is planned. In respect of diamond exploration a field and aerial inspection of 6 anomalies was conducted. All previous exploration data was re-examined with a view of selecting targets for gemstones. All work carried out up to date didn't identify any gemstones or gem material of commercial interest.
