Abstract: The report details local geology and previous exploration work in the area. Durin year 1999 a limited exploration was undertaken in the area. Three RC holes totaling 210m were drilled near Explorer 13 to test a strong cobalt anomaly recorded by auger drilling in the late 1980's. No obvieous source for the anomaly was identified. Results were disappointing and indicated a low potential for the economic gold minaralisation. Prospectivity of the area should be reviewed using the new NTGS aromagnetics with historical exploration data.
