Abstract: | Details of previous exploration has been summarised and referred to the relevant annual reports. During the current year additional infill drilling was completed at the Monarch, Smiggins, Charlotte, The Hinge and Pendragon North prospects. At the Charlotte prospect a semi-linear anomaly has been indicated over 2 km with a maximum value of 18ppb Au. The Monarch anomaly is associated with a paleodrainage system, both RAB and RC drilling failed to obtain bedrock anomalism. At Smiggins isolated spot anomalism was obtained. The Hinge is an interpreted closure of a regional synform with interpreted axial plane faulting, no significant anomalism was returned. At Pendragon North four posthole fences were completed however a calcrete layer and abundant water led to the abandonment of many holes, weak anomalism was detected in basement lithologies and in the calcrete at Smiggins infill drilling obtained anomalism to 62ppb Au in the east. |
