Abstract: A detailed 60m spaced aeromagnetic survey was completed over the Howley anticline, and has been used for geological and structural interpretation. 146 gravity observations were made at a sample spacing of 250m along 2 traverses and located a subsurface granitoid close to the Howley anticlinal structure. Soil sampling was conducted at Big Howley West, Big Red Blob, Bons Rush, Chinese West, Santori East, Santori South and 8550 East prospects were soil sampled with distinctive anomalism obtained at all prospects except at Chinese West, Santori south and 8550 East prospects. Rock chipping values were generally low except at North Mount Bonnie 1m at 15.8 g-t Au, and F16 at 1.13ppm Au. 5 RC holes drilled at Liberator prospect with subeconomic values obtained. At the F16 prospect 7 costeans were excavated and sampled and some values generally 3m wide at +/- 1.5g-t Au were obtained. However the trenches are staggered and no definitive continuity of mineralisation was obtained. Findings of the MMI study completed during the year indicate the usefulness of As, Sb, Mo, W as dispersion elements.
