Abstract: The tenements are located in the Palaeo-mesoproterozoic McArthur Basin and are considered prospective for sediment hosted base metal mineralisation. Stream sediment sampling in 1993 identified Cu and Pb anomalism draining the Matheson Inlier in which Proterozoic Lynott Formation and Reward Dolomite are exposed. Work completed in the 1994 field season comprised of stream sediment sampling, soil sampling, bulk cyanide leach stream sediment sampling, rock cheap sampling, PROTEM soundings and diamond drilling. The soil and stream sampling outlined weak anomalies. The PROTEM soundings indicated moderately conductive stratigraphy at a depth of 130m overlain by resistive Bukalara Sandstone. Inspection of the drill core showed that this is the Barney Creek Formation of the McArthur Group.
