Abstract: Aldershot Resources Ltd is targeting unconformity-type uranium deposits proximal to the unconformity between the Lower and Middle Proterozoic rocks. This area has similarities to the East Alligator uranium field and the Athabasca Basin uranium deposits in Canada. The Waterhouse West Project is centred approximately 10km southwest of Batchelor near the historic Rum Jungle mineral field and is located over the Archean Waterhouse Complex which comprises granitic rock. This report details exploration activities undertaken by Aldershot Resources Ltd during the tenement's first year of term, 18 January 2007 - 17 January 2008. Activities completed during the reporting period comprised field and desktop geological studies, historical data compilation and reconnaissance field inspections. Assays for the samples of hematitic sandstone and schist, and 'gossanous' siltstones were returned, but there are no significant uranium values (20ppm U is the highest). Three ferruginous rocks and one quartz vein gave elevated arsenic values (1.45 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.26 percent). Copper and zinc values are slightly elevated in the iron-rich gossan containing the highest arsenic; 140 ppm Cu and 340 ppm Zn.
