Abstract: | EL 9085 is being explored for economic shear hosted and or 'Granites' style gold mineralisation. Exploration work of the licence during the first year of tenure has included AAPA sacred site clearance, regional regolith surveying using aerial photographs and satellite imagery, regional geophysics, and vacuum geochemistry drilling. 155 vacuum holes (1435m) were completed on 500 x 100m centres. Suspected Bullion Schist was intersected in the west of the licence and suspected Hatches Creek Group in the east. Anomalous arsenic values to 1322ppm were obtained from the west, although gold values were generally low with a peak assay of 8ppb Au. Geochemistry results in the eastern portion of the grid with the suspected Hatches Creek Group rocks were subdued. These positive results will be followed up as As is often strongly associated with gold mineralisation. |
