Title: | Combined annual and final report EL 26943 30 April 2009 to 29 April 2015 |
Title Holder / Company: | Merlin Operations Merlin Diamonds |
Report id: | CR2015-0326 |
Tenure: | EL26943 |
Year: | 2015 |
Author: | Raza, A |
Abstract: | Exploration activities during the tenure consist of several phases of collection of heavy mineral analysis (HMA) loam and stream gravel samples to determine the prospectivity of the Licence for diamond hosting kimberlite. Many samples yielded indicator minerals mainly chromite grains suggesting tenement is prospective for diamonds. However, consistent effort over the life of the Licence remained unsuccessful to identify the source of anomalous indicator minerals. MDL has concluded that the likelihood of finding a kimberlite on the tenement is low and therefore seeks no further extension in tenure of EL 26943. |
