Abstract: | No field work was completed. There appears to be no outcrop on the licence, which is covered with Quaternary alluvials and red soils. Regional interpretation from the aeromagnetics and geology with open file data suggests the southern three quarters of the licence to be underlain by granite. To the north-east of the granite the Geopeko Explorer 72 anomaly was drilled with PD2 intersecting gabbro-diorite. It was concluded that the mafic intrusive caused the regional magnetic anomaly. MIM Exploration Pty Ltd have withdrawn from the joint venture agreement as of the 23rd of October 1996, and no further work will be conducted by MIM Exploration Pty Ltd. |
