dc.description.abstractThis report provides a summary of the two stratigraphic diamond drill holes completed in late 2014 by Enigma Mining Limited on EL 27711 and EL 30085 in the McArthur Basin and on the eastern side of the Mallapunyah Dome. This drilling was partially funded by the Northern Territory Government NTDME-NTGS under the CORE (Creating Opportunities for Resource Exploration) initiative and the Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations Program (Round 7 2014-15). The two holes were located on combined geochemical and geophysical targets to test the Wollogorang Formation at depth as a potential base metals host. The genetic model being tested was a SEDEX stratabound base metal (Zn-Pb-Ag+-Cu) accumulation, similar to the McArthur River Zinc mine (Glencore/Xstrata approximately 60km to the north). The Warramana Sandstone, Wollogorang Formation, Gold Creek Volcanics, and Settlement Creek Dolerite of the Tawallah Group (Redbank Package) were intersected in core. Two holes for 351.8 metres of HQ core were drilled in late September early October 2014. Core was geologically logged on site and then Hylogged and sampled at the NTGS Core Library Store in Darwin. Analytical results (ICP analysis of 193 samples) confirm the base metal potential of the sequence, with elevated Zinc and Lead values and some supergene Copper also noted. Results were broadly in line with the surface geochemical anomalism (ca. 0.1 to 0.2 percent Zn), indicating little supergene surface enrichment and suggesting the Wollogorang Formation has ca. 0.1 percent zinc over tens of kilometres.en_US
