Title: Annual report ERL 116 Mount Porter for the period 12 September 1995 to 12 September 1996
Title Holder / Company: Renison
Homestake Gold of Australia
Report id: CR1996-0934
Tenure: ERL116
Year: 1996
Author: Stewart, JI
Abstract: Work on ERL116 comprised the drilling of 2,569.1 metres in six primary targets. The search was for a deposit of the Cosmo-Rowley Lead-Dakota style hosted by 1.85 by old silicate-sulphide facies Banded Iron Formation. The two best intercepts for gold mineralisation occurred in MPDH230 and 231; 12m at 0.95 g-t and 7m at 0.46 g-t Au, respectively. Although of sub-economic significance only, the intercepts do promote or 'open-up' the possibility of the existence of a high grade deposit between the known deposit, '10,400', and grid area 12,200mN.
