Abstract: | Exploration activities during the reporting year consisted of a soil sampling programme in the Wycliffe Creek license. No work was done on the other two licenses. Seventy samples were taken along lines spaced 4km apart, sample spacing was generally 400m but some 200m spaced samples were taken along the northern ends of lines. The target of this soil sampling was potentially phosphatic Cambrian sediments that are interpreted to underlie this area but do not outcrop. Elevated phosphate was returned from some samples, mainly on the northern parts of lines where potentially phosphatic Cambrian sediments would be shallowest. A number of other elements were anomalous in association with the phosphate; some of these are also associated with phosphate at other prospects. It is hoped that drill testing can begin in 2013. |
