The Ammaroo Phosphate Project is located 240 km southeast of Tennant Creek. The project area contains the 40 km long, billion-tonne Ammaroo Phosphate Deposit which is currently Australia's largest JORC rock phosphate resource, the satellite Ammaroo South resource, the Rockhole prospect, and, as yet untested, greenfields potential in the east. The overall Ammaroo Phosphate Project prefeasibility has been announced. Contiguous EL 29266 and EL 29826 were located northwest of the main resource in the central part of the project immediately adjacent to the present Cambrian basin edge. In all for the life of EL 29266 and EL 29826, 28 RC and air core holes were drilled to a maximum of 57 m for 1,020 m in total. On EL 29266, there were 6 air core holes for 247 m and 18 RC holes for 629 m drilled during 2013 and 2014. On EL 29826, 3 air core holes for 93 m and one RC hole for 51 m were drilled during 2014. Many holes terminated in shallow Proterozoic basement without intersecting any prospective Cambrian rocks. All samples were tested for phosphate on the rig using a handheld XRF with no significant phosphate detected. One hundred and eighty-nine selected samples from 2013 drilling were laboratory assayed and, again, no significant phosphate was detected. No samples were sent for laboratory assay in 2014. EL 29266 and EL 29826 have been surrendered in full.en_US
