Title: | Annual report for EL 26719 for the period 28 October 2008 to 27 October 2009 |
Title Holder / Company: | Uramet |
Report id: | CR2009-0848 |
Tenure: | EL26719 |
Year: | 2009 |
Author: | Penna, P |
Abstract: | Work undertaken by Uramet to date includes a data review, field reconnaissance, and the sampling and analysis of a water bore adjacent to the tenement. Field reconnaissance was undertaken to ascertain whether uraniferous alaskite encountered in adjacent tenement EL 26748 also occurred within the EL, and if quartz veining with potential to host gold or tungsten mineralisation outcropped within the tenement. No outcropping alaskite or significant quartz veining was noted. Analysis of a water sample from nearby Deep Bore encountered only relatively low levels of uranium. As uraniferous alaskite, quartz veining anomalous in gold occur, and calc-silicate anomalous in tungsten occur in adjacent tenement EL 26748, it is recommended that broad scale auger drilling be undertaken in order to test for anomalous gold, tungsten and uranium. |
