Abstract: This group of licences forms what is known as the Merlin Project. They were explored by a variety of techniques for their diamond and base metal potential. Diamond exploration located 3 diamondiferous pipes, Ywain, Bedevere and Tristram. In this local including the Emu Pipes there are now some 13 diamond bearing pipes. Base metal exploration proved inconclusive. This work has proven the existence of a regional conductive horizon interpreted on the Mainoru formation, overlain by Bukalara Sandstone.
