Abstract: Exploration Licence 7623 was granted to Zapopan NL on 23rd December 1991 for a term of three years. Work completed during Year 1 comprised collation and evaluation of previous exploration data, reconnaissance geological mapping and gridding of the area outlined as most prospective for gold mineralisation. Year 2 exploration program included rehabilitation and extension of the existing 100 x 100 metre grid, soil sampling on 100 x 50 metre centres and geological mapping of the gridded area at 1:5000 scale. Drainage in the central-north portion of the EL were BLEG sampled. Results show that certain horizons within the Gerowie Tuff are anomalous in the base metals and arsenic, with anomalous gold closely associated with extensive quartz veining. Further work is required to test the economic potential of both occurrences.
