Title: | EL 28216 Chamber Bay East Final report for the period 21 October 2011 to 23 July 2014 |
Title Holder / Company: | WDR Iron Ore |
Report id: | CR2014-0679 |
Tenure: | EL28216 |
Year: | 2014 |
Author: | Bennett, A |
Abstract: | No work was carried out on the tenement during the first year due to the Company's major efforts during the period to develop its Roper Bar iron ore operation. During the second year of tenure WDR undertook a helicopter assisted reconnaissance field visit. Three rock chip samples were collected and analysed using XRF. Outcrop was observed to be poor, and in many cases poorly positioned with respect to the available geology maps. Silicified sandstone outcrops were observed in most instances and not sampled. Some goethitic and hematitic rubble was observed in one location with iron content up to 28.3 percent Fe. The provenance of these samples were uncertain, but there is a reasonable possibility that they represent laterite over a dolerite dyke. Further sampling is not considered warranted and WDR has elected to relinquishment the licence in full during the 3rd reporting period. |
