MCN 523 Annual report May 1991 to May 1992

Abstract

MCN 523 is located 500 m south of Pine Creek. A drilling programme was undertaken in order to follow the interpreted southern extension of the Battery Shear Zone. All holes were drilled to the east, and samples were collected at 2 m intervals and assayed for gold. The shear zone contained mineralisation to the north on MLN 13, however drilling to the south intersected poor mineralisation, apart from holes 1227 and 1229, which intersected mineralisation of 2.49 g-t and 0.83 g-t Au respectively at 14m. Previous work in this area was restricted to costeaning which identified a brecciated and sheared zone in the vicinity of the interpreted shear extension.
